Connected Vents
While flushing the latrine makes a sink murmur, this is on the grounds that their channel pipes are associated. The water streaming in the latrine squander pipe makes a vacuum, and the latrine and sink vent both permit air in to balanced the weight. These normally interface with a typical vent, and when it's impeded, the vacuum can get air in through the sink trap. The murmuring sound you hear is air going through the water in the snare.
